Learn your attachment style.

When you were a kid, your brain quietly learned a rule for how love works — based on how your parents (or whoever raised you) responded when you needed them. Did they show up? Brush you off? Get angry? That early pattern is your attachment style, and it still runs in the background of every relationship: who you fall for, how you text, what makes you panic or pull away.
There are three main types — secure, anxious, avoidant — plus a rarer fourth (fearful). Most people lean toward one. Once you see which childhood pattern is running yours, a lot of your dating history will suddenly make sense.
